The School of St Jude
We were fortunate to secure a wonderful evening with Gemma Sisia, founder of the School of St. Jude in Tanzania. Gemma was accompanied by two students who have now graduated.

Gemma is a towering human achievement!

After visiting Tanzania as a young student and recognising the need for education, she returned to Australia determined to raise funds to build a school. That was in 2002, and from just one school with the original enrolment of 3 students, it has expanded to a huge campus teaching 1800 students per year.

Gemma spoke for an hour, and had everyone in our audience of 70 people enthralled as she explained the beginnings, and the outstanding success she has achieved.

Our club is most grateful to Woolooware Shores for providing an excellent venue for her presentation .
